Job Description
Join Carrier as a Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician and redefine service excellence in the HVAC industry. Utilize your technical skills and problem-solving instincts to provide expert service while enjoying a supportive work environment with world-class training and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units
Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment
Service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators and ice machines
Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems
Assemble and install metal ductwork
Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations
Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment
Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards
Required Qualifications
5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
High School Diploma/GED
Valid and current Driver's License
Must be a current union member or willing to join a union
Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs
Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of building automation controls
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax
Experience with Air Cooled and/or Water Cooled Chillers
