Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oklahoma or compact state)
• BLS certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Nursing Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg patients
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care while adhering to safety protocols and hospital guidelines
• Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from admission
• Promote a safe and positive environment for patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other clinical care providers
• Demonstrate leadership by assuming charge nurse responsibilities and mentoring ancillary staff
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team building activities
