Join BioLife Plasma Services as a Paramedic (EMT-P) and contribute to life-changing medicines by ensuring donor safety and eligibility. You'll play a vital role in plasma center operations, managing donor care while working under the guidance of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations
Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies
Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and guidance
Support vaccination programs for employees
Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation needs
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the state of assignment
Current CPR and AED certification
Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
