Job Description

Join New Directions Mental Health as a Mental Health Therapist Intern, where you'll provide culturally sensitive assessments and therapy under supervision, with the potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments
Provide individual and family therapy based on identified needs
Complete billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans
Develop crisis plans, safety plans, and wellness plans
Create discharge plans
Adhere to federal and state laws and NDMH policies
Participate in case consultation and agency meetings
Complete all mandatory training

Required Qualifications

In final year of a Master of Social Work
Master’s in Mental Health Counseling
Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy
Strong interest in clinical outpatient mental health services
