Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Location: Bangor, ME 04401 – Maine nursing jobs
  • Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Unit – KPO3 (Kelly Phillips Oliver)
  • Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
  • Start Date: November 12, 2025
  • End Date: February 7, 2026
  • Duration: 12-week travel nursing assignment
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7A-7P)
  • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$2040
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
  • Orientation: 2 days hospital orientation + 1 unit shift
  • Charting System: Cerner EMR
  • Free Parking: Available in designated areas

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Medical Surgical, SNF, or LTAC experience preferred)
  • Clinical skills: charge experience, dressing changes, IV antibiotic administration, enteral feedings
  • Experience with geriatric and behavioral health patients is a plus
  • First-time travel nurses are welcome
  • Professional attire (scrub color: any, must be professional)
  • No acrylic nails or Crocs shoes permitted

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and perform dressing changes
  • Conduct straight catheterizations and enteral feedings
  • Complete daily nursing notes for each patient, including activities, behavioral notes, and overall impressions
  • Monitor vital signs as ordered (weekly or PRN)
  • Support fall prevention, skin integrity, and patient mobility
  • Collaborate with CNAs, activities coordinators, social workers, and case managers
  • Participate in team nursing approach (RN ratios up to 1:9)
  • Float to other areas within scope of practice as needed
