Key Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems
Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs
Replace defective components as instructed
Work unsupervised on most tasks
Perform facility maintenance duties
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and corporate guidelines
Mentor junior technicians
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic tools
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Routine preventative maintenance experience
Basic diagnostics and repairs experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
Knowledge of computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Vocational or Technical Certification
Three or more years of relevant work experience
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A
