Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional on the Adult Team, where you'll provide vital mental health assessment and treatment services. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create impactful treatment plans for patients with various mental health needs while enjoying a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and evaluates clinical treatment programs for Health Plan members
  • Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups
  • Instructs and counsels patients and families on therapeutic regimens
  • Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and maintains confidential records
  • Collaborates with physicians for psychotropic medication evaluations
  • May supervise Post Masters Fellows and Associate Clinicians
  • Utilizes resources of public and private agencies for member treatment
  • Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
  • Competence in individual, family and group psychotherapy
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team
  • Previous clinical responsibility including crisis intervention and psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
