Key Responsibilities
Develops and evaluates clinical treatment programs for Health Plan members
Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups
Instructs and counsels patients and families on therapeutic regimens
Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and maintains confidential records
Collaborates with physicians for psychotropic medication evaluations
May supervise Post Masters Fellows and Associate Clinicians
Utilizes resources of public and private agencies for member treatment
Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
Experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
Competence in individual, family and group psychotherapy
Professional maturity and ethical integrity
Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team
Previous clinical responsibility including crisis intervention and psychotherapy
Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
