Join Zen Educate as an Assistant Teacher to support special education students while building meaningful experience in SPED classrooms. This role involves assisting with curriculum development and creating an inclusive environment for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician Experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid
CPI or Pro Act Training
