Overview:
This fast-paced unit cares for acute neuro and cardiac patients, requiring strong assessment and triage skills. Nurses must be able to identify life-threatening rhythms and manage complex patient needs.

Details:

Ratios: 4:1 days / 5:1 nights

Staffing: 6–7 RNs, 2 techs, 1 unit secretary

Equipment: Alaris pumps, B450 monitors, Pyxis, iMobile, Meditech EMR

Float: Rotational, as needed across hospital

Procedures: Glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, peritoneal dialysis

Experience: Neuro & cardiac background required

Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG rhythm certification
