Job Description

Join Staples as a Business Development Representative, focusing on generating new revenue and building strong customer relationships in the Philadelphia area. This remote role involves strategic planning, engaging presentations, and a commitment to exceeding sales goals while contributing to a positive company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive conversion of new revenue from new customers
  • Build territory penetration strategy and analyze performance
  • Qualify prospects based on customer size and potential
  • Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers
  • Utilize marketing collateral for presentations
  • Attend conferences and events to represent Quill
  • Create and present custom pricing solutions
  • Ensure smooth transition to account management team
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM
  • Seek constant improvement and apply coaching
  • Positively impact culture and work well with others
  • Drive revenue beyond traditional office supplies

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 4+ years of field sales experience
  • Required travel within territory based on appointments, customer needs and conferences, approximately 50% travel
  • Remote Role: Must be able to cover a territory of Philadelphia, PA

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months+ of relevant experience in the public sector market
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven business development experience
