Job Description
Join Swedish Health Services as a Senior Medical Assistant, where you will provide critical support in patient care coordination, manage clerical duties, and work closely with patients and families. This role requires excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to ensure optimal patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling new patients and follow-up appointments
Acquiring insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations
Preparing and maintaining patient medical records
Documenting vital signs and patient information in Epic
Assisting in minor office procedures
Monitoring and improving patient flow in the clinic
Partnering in the orientation and training of new staff
Required Qualifications
Graduate of certified medical assistant program
Washington Medical Assistant Certification
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
1 year Medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with emphasis in Health Care
Experienced in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations
Experience with Epic
