Join Guidehouse as a Hospital Admissions Representative where you will play a critical role in verifying patient information and ensuring accurate billing. This full-time position requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain and verify demographic and financial information
Assign correct medical record and account numbers
Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms
Perform pre-certification and deposit collection
Notify patients of insurance coverage issues
Review Physician’s orders for completion
Maintain multiple computer systems
Provide positive customer service
Document admissions and registrations accurately
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-1 year experience in a medical setting or customer service
Ability to type a minimum of 35 CWPM
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of ED admitting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of medical terminology
Great organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain professionalism in high stress environments
