Job Description

Join Guidehouse as a Hospital Admissions Representative where you will play a critical role in verifying patient information and ensuring accurate billing. This full-time position requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and verify demographic and financial information
  • Assign correct medical record and account numbers
  • Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms
  • Perform pre-certification and deposit collection
  • Notify patients of insurance coverage issues
  • Review Physician’s orders for completion
  • Maintain multiple computer systems
  • Provide positive customer service
  • Document admissions and registrations accurately

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 year experience in a medical setting or customer service
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 CWPM
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of ED admitting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Great organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high stress environments
