Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience with Trauma Level 1-3 experience within the last 2 years
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (preferred)
- EPIC EMR Proficiency: Required with experience within the last 2 years
Shift and Scheduling:
- Start Date: October 20th
- Shifts: Varied start times (7, 10, 11, 12, 1, 3) with modified self-scheduling
- Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
- Holiday Requirements: Typically 2 of 5 holidays (including eves)
- Floating Requirements: Shared schedule with Foothills ER, typically scheduled ahead of time
Department Details:
- Number of Beds: 52 with 4 trauma bays
- Fast Track: 6 beds
- Triage Area: Quick look with 2 areas using ESI
- Patient Volume: 200 patients per day
- Ratios: 1:5 medical, 1:6 for fast track
Additional Details:
- Security: In-house 24/7 with office near lobby
- RT Equipment: Glidescope, Hamilton, and Phillips ventilators
- Dedicated CT and X-ray: Available in the ER with transport team
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
Must have cumulative Level I and II trauma experience within the past 3 years (Level III or lower experience alone is not accepted)
Must have Epic EMR proficiency within the last 2 years
Licenses & Certifications:
Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (required)
TNCC (preferred)
