Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Provide mechanical engineering support based on program needs
Support detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design and execution, and systems engineering
Work autonomously and influence organizational strategies within the PCAS
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or related science degree
10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or 7 years with an advanced degree
Experience with Systems or Mechanical Engineering of servo controls or Precision Controls and Actuation Systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with development of CAS requirements, architecture, risk, verification and validation
Experience with control actuation systems using permanent magnet brush and brushless DC motor technology
Experience with feedback control systems, design-for-manufacturing, kinematic and dynamic simulation
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5
Proficient in Engineering processes and procedures
Moderate 3D modeling skills with commercial software
Experience with Pro/Engineer/CREO
Experience using Matlab, Simulink, and dSpace
Proven design and manufacturing knowledge in various components
