Lincoln Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Mentor, OH plant. This role involves working on capital projects and providing engineering support for production facilities, focusing on equipment design and safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Work on capital and strategic projects for the Cleveland Operation production facilities
Responsible for mechanical aspects including facilities preparation, equipment design, and installation
Engineer solutions for equipment reliability, safety, and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, R&D, QA, and Supply Management
Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Ensure safety, health, environmental, and compliance aspects meet regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3+ years professional experience for Level II Engineer
Minimum of 5+ years professional experience for Level III Engineer
Good judgment and self-motivated
Safety conscious
Strong desire to take ownership and drive results
Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
Ability to perform hands-on work and work effectively on the shop floor
Ability to handle small to medium sized projects with supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Solid Edge CAD modelling software
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA and OSHA standards
