Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares patient for exam, notes and documents responses to interventions and confers with Provider
  • Anticipates provider needs for patient exam or treatments
  • Provides clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, IV Therapy, and procedures as ordered by provider
  • Initiates clinical follow through for patient care services
  • Delegates and assists co-workers with duties
  • Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waived testing, maintenance of crash cart and narcotic count
  • Maintaining required licensure and certification
  • Varied shifts include some weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted NV RN license or temporary NV RN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV RN license upon expiration of temporary NV RN license
  • BLS / ACLS
  • PALS (upon hire)
  • 2+ years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting (ER, MED / SURG, Critical Care, Urgent Care)
  • Excellent IV skills
  • Ability to read and interpret Cardiac Telemetry rhythms
  • Proven ability to develop and implement plan of care based on assessment skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate medical care with provider and appropriate team members
  • Proven multi-system assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience charting in EMR
  • Demonstrates initiative towards problem solving
