Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian to empower a dedicated team while providing high-quality veterinary care in underserved communities. You will play a vital role in animal welfare, ensuring compassionate treatment and support for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience
