ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: McKinney, TX 75069 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)
• Facility: 37-bed Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Emergency Room
• Start Date: August 27, 2025
• End Date: November 26, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:00-06:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460 per week

Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
• Experience with GE Monitors and MediTech EMR preferred
• Ability to float to ED holding areas as needed

Key Responsibilities for ER RN Travel Nurses

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a busy ER setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in assigned zones
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, techs, paramedics, and charge nurses
• Perform and assist with standard emergency department procedures
• Accurately document patient care using MediTech EMR
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and self-motivated attitude
• Comply with unit guidelines, hospital policies, and dress code
