Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant in Special Education and make a difference in students' lives. Support lead teachers in engaging lessons and provide specialized assistance to students with unique needs, all while enjoying a flexible schedule and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for consistent student support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
