Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Greets visitors and patients in person
Communicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer service
Handles confidential information appropriately
Prioritizes by assessing and analyzing information for emergency needs
Demonstrates technical knowledge in departmental procedures
Enters and updates patient demographic and financial information
Obtains appropriate applications and forms, ensuring signatures are on file
Provides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities
Works with partnering departments to complete patient encounters
Provides wayfinding instructions and assists with hospital information
Coordinates patient admission needs and bed assignments
Meets or exceeds audit accuracy standards
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 6:45am – 4:30pm
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of customer service experience in a hospital setting
2+ years of scheduling experience in a clinical setting
Experience in a medical office or emergency department
Experience with electronic medical records system
Knowledge of medical terminology
