Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units
  • Identify root causes of basic failures and perform necessary repairs
  • Ensure equipment meets licensing and registration requirements
  • Document work orders through the Enterprise Asset Management system
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks
  • Train and provide guidance to other mechanics

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
  • Experience with PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration
