Job Description

Join United Health Services as a Lymphedema Therapist in Binghamton, NY, where you'll provide exceptional care and innovative therapies for patients with lymphedema. Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to patients with lymphedema
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations
Utilize Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) techniques
Teach patients and caregivers self-care strategies
Develop personalized home exercise programs
Ensure accurate documentation
Advocate and coordinate care for patients
Collaborate with healthcare providers
Assist patients in obtaining appropriate compression garments
Engage in quality improvement initiatives
Lead and educate as a lymphedema expert
Participate in research and innovation

Required Qualifications

Licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist
Lymphedema Therapy Certification or eligibility to complete within 3 months
NYS license or eligibility to be licensed as a practicing Occupational or Physical Therapist
CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Previous clinical experience in lymphedema therapy
Previous clinical experience in hospital-based inpatient services and/or outpatient therapy services
National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
