The Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) is a registered nurse who provides specialized care for adult and pediatric patients undergoing interventional radiology (IR) procedures. This nurse functions as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care across all phases—pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure. 

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement care plans for patients before, during, and after IR procedures.
• Administer conscious sedation under established protocols and monitor patients’ responses and vital signs throughout the procedure.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other team members to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards during all procedures.

• Provide clear communication and education to patients and families regarding procedures, sedation, and post-care instructions.

   

• Required:
  • Current and valid RN license (state-specific as applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Conscious sedation competency
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care, critical care, or interventional radiology experience
• Preferred:
  • Pediatric experience
  • Previous interventional radiology or procedural nursing experience
