Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on diesel equipment
Repair or rebuild equipment systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
Perform HVAC system repairs
Conduct safety inspections and prepare documentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Interact with operations and shop management
Required Qualifications
2 years of experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or technical school degree with certification in heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance
Obtain EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire
Valid driver's license
Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, and ARC)
Basic mechanical skills
Basic hand tools for heavy-duty trailer and tractor maintenance
Basic computer skills
Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations
Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations
Available to work a variety of shifts
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent work-related or military experience
Prior mechanical experience such as automotive or skilled trades
Previous or current ASE certifications
Diesel tech school diploma
Experience with trailer repair and diesel engine system diagnostics
Able to diagnose and repair vehicle air conditioning systems
