Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,360 - $1,460 per week

Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Pasadena, TX 77504 (Greater Houston area)
• Healthcare Setting: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs (jacket and undershirt same color or white)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in IMCU, Cardiac Stepdown, or Intermediate Care nursing
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to float to all areas within the healthcare facility as needed

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and IMCU patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate care as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Adhere to unit policies, clinical guidelines, and best practices
• Participate in weekend rotations and float to other nursing units as required
