Seattle ER RN Job Details

• Location: Seattle, WA 98107 (Ballard neighborhood)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Unit: Emergency Room / Emergency Services
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,730 - $1,850
• Staffing Ratio: 1:4
• Bed Count: 18
• Average ER Visits/Day: 65
• Charting System: EPIC
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Floating: Required to Edmonds and other Swedish campuses as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (varies)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Washington or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (3 years preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (all current)
• Proficiency in adult/pediatric emergency care, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, ventilator management, and triage
• Ability to float to other campuses as needed
• Charge nurse experience and EPIC charting experience preferred
• Professional scrubs (any color)
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to diverse patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with various diagnoses, including general ER, psychiatric, chemical dependency, and pediatric cases
• Perform and assist with procedures: breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, rapid sequence intubation, trach care, ventilator management, blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, EKGs, drains, feeding tubes, central/PICC line care
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; administer IV vasopressors and procedural sedation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Float to other units/campuses and participate in on-call rotations as required
