Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader in Tucson, AZ, where you'll lead a team of engineers and ensure high-quality technical output throughout the product life cycle. This role emphasizes leadership, technical development, and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 15-20 engineers
Provide technical development and mentoring to team members
Ensure accuracy of technical output and decisions
Collaborate with department leaders on engineering goals
Coordinate staffing needs and recruitment efforts
Perform individual contributor workload in subject matter discipline
Resolve technical and operational problems related to materials and processes
Support product life cycle with engineering oversight
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
10 years of relevant experience or 14+ years without a degree
Experience with materials and process design for military programs
Experience in cross-functional team environments
Experience in testing methods for physical properties of materials
Experience with PWB/CCA interconnects analysis
Failure analysis experience of mechanical assemblies
10 years of experience in materials problem solving
Ability to lead multi-disciplined projects
Direct experience in aerospace industry materials
Advanced degree in relevant disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write concise technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo, and/or Python
Proficient in MS Office
