Join Optum as an MRI Technologist and play a key role in transforming healthcare. You will use advanced MRI technology to ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
Uses MRI scanner protocols based on needs of the individual patient and ordered examination
Screens patients prior to scan for any contraindications including implanted devices
Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
Starts IV’s and administers contrast agents
Evaluates images for technical quality
Maintains the cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
MRI quality control, and documentation of necessary medical requirement
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Active WA state license or pending application
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified or board eligible in MRI (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
