The Senior Director of Behavior, ARC & CARE will lead a dedicated team to provide high-quality behavioral care for animals in need, ensuring their welfare and preparing them for adoption or return to owners. This role includes overseeing research projects and collaborating with medical and behavior teams to enhance animal care practices.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress patient and population care
Manage and coach a team of behavior experts
Lead research projects and share knowledge
Foster relationships with medical and behavior team leaders
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Fear Free certified within 6 months of hire
Ability to work additional hours, weekends, and cover shifts
