Job Description
Maxar Technologies is seeking a versatile Maritime Systems Engineer to support critical projects within the Intelligence Community. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to analyze system requirements and oversee project management, performance engineering, and risk management for both legacy and future sensor systems.
Key Responsibilities
Identify system requirements and oversee system design, development, and testing
Participate in Technical Exchange Meetings on integration and risk management
Support testing across the acquisition life cycle
Advocate for program performance and recommend future directions to management
Interface with team members to resolve system engineering issues
Required Qualifications
US citizenship
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Mechanical, or Electrical)
6 years of professional experience in systems engineering
Experience with embedded systems or robotics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate technical analyses to non-technical audiences
Experience working on-site at a customer location
Experience in DOD/IC
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Systems Engineering
Experience developing Maritime systems
Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience with rapid prototyping and fielding projects
Experience following DAU Systems Engineering best practices
Practical RF systems knowledge
Military or defense-related experience
DAWIA Level II or equivalent in SPRDE-S&T
