Key Responsibilities
Adjust moderately complex bodily injury claims
Identify and manage existing and emerging risks
Ensure compliance with risk and compliance policies
Investigate loss details and determine legal liability
Negotiate and settle claims within authority guidelines
Document investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement decisions
Manage assigned claims workload and provide timely updates
Collaborate with team members and vendors for claims resolution
Support workload surges and Catastrophe Operations
Required Qualifications
High School or General Equivalency Diploma
1 year of injury adjusting experience
2 years of auto liability claims adjusting experience
Deep knowledge of auto claims contract and state laws
Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated time-management and decision-making skills
Proven investigatory, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Proficient knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
Ability to exercise sound financial judgment
Proficient knowledge of coverage evaluation, loss assessment, and loss reserving
Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
4 or more years of auto liability/casualty adjusting experience
1 year medical experience including coding and billing or EMT
Ongoing Professional Development in Insurance
Bachelor's degree or higher
US military experience or a military spouse/domestic partner
