Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. This role combines leadership with hands-on veterinary responsibilities, ensuring both animal welfare and team development are prioritized.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through recognition and performance evaluation
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-volume spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care and manage post-surgical complications
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
