Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners in underserved communities. You will lead a dedicated team, provide exceptional veterinary care, and ensure a positive client experience while fostering a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
Perform approximately 25-40 high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgical procedures per day
Support a positive work culture and ensure team members receive necessary training
Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
