Lincoln Electric seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Plant Engineering team in Mentor. This role involves designing electrical systems for manufacturing welding machines, ensuring compliance with safety and productivity standards while providing critical support for various engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety, ergonomics, and compliance
Provide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT departments
Develop, design, and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs
Update and maintain National Instruments LabVIEW code
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, MES, and Production teams
Apply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations
Supply project leaders with capital cost estimates and timelines
Lead projects and solve complex problems
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Integrate equipment into data collection systems
Support network backup and control system asset inventory
Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
Identify additional responsibilities for projects aligning with company goals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years of professional experience
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD software
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and test equipment
Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79
Knowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL Database
