Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals in ARC and CARE
Ensure high quality, low stress patient care
Manage and coach behavior staff
Lead and facilitate research projects
Maintain thorough behavioral records
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
DVM degree or equivalent from AVMA accredited veterinary school (for veterinary behaviorist)
Master’s or PhD degree in animal Behavior or related discipline (for non-veterinary behaviorist)
Ability to work with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Fear Free certified within 6 months of hire
Low Stress Handling – Silver certified or ability to obtain certification by end of first year
