Job Description
As an Occupational Hand Therapist at Kaiser, you'll collaborate with a healthcare team to treat patients recovering from surgeries or injuries. You'll develop personalized treatment plans to restore function and enhance patients' quality of life, ensuring they achieve their maximum potential through comprehensive therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver quality treatment programs to patients of all ages
Evaluate patients' physical status and functional abilities
Develop and implement treatment plans involving patients and their support systems
Document charting according to departmental standards
Provide effective patient handouts
Maintain professional competency through continuing education
Support organizational mission and goals
Comply with departmental safety procedures
Meet productivity standards and effectively manage time
Demonstrate professional communication with patients and team members
Required Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of post-op and splinting experience
Graduate of accredited program in Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapist License in the state where care is provided
Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Automated External Defibrillator certification
Certified Hand Therapist
Preferred Qualifications
CPR certification
Orthopedic skills
Group dynamics knowledge
Equipment operation
Knowledge of patient assessment and treatment specific to patient load
