Job Description
Join the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy as an Academic Administration Fellow, where you'll develop crucial skills in organizational management, teaching, and scholarship. This one-year fellowship offers hands-on experience in academic and administrative functions, preparing you for a successful career in higher education.
Key Responsibilities
Manage administrative processes for the office of the dean and college of pharmacy
Support faculty and academic affairs
Participate in oversight of the comprehensive assessment plan
Provide management of college and departmental budgets and accounting activities
Coordinate preceptor development and curricular redesign within experiential curricula
Organize and facilitate college committee functions
Supervise student workers
Coordinate, implement, or support programming and events for students
Assist as a skills lab instructor, practicum assessor, and/or lecturer
Develop a unique pharmacy pathway for students or conduct other approved research
Pursue a master's degree in public health throughout the program, if desired
Required Qualifications
Pharm.D. prior to the start of the fellowship
Passion for pharmacy
Knowledge of and experience in the current practice of pharmacy
Experience in interprofessional teamwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with learning management systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in team-based learning
Excellent time management
Excellent project management
Strong attention to detail
Quantitative skills
Analytical skills
Literature search and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications
Pharm.D. conferred by UHSP/STLCOP
Experience coordinating schedules
Experience working on multiple projects with congruent timelines
Experience leading/managing complex projects
Experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or organizational leader
Prior rotation or work experience in the Dean's Office or similar administrative positions
1 year of research experience
Knowledge of cognitive and moral student development issues
