The Clinical Informaticist, RN-1 will optimize clinical information systems to enhance patient care and streamline workflows. Collaborating with clinical teams, this role will focus on Epic Optimization Sprints and ensure effective training and documentation for end users.
Key Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for optimal utilization of clinical information system workflow
Assist with creating and maintaining end user training documentation
Function as a liaison between nursing, clinical disciplines, and Information Services
Collaborate with medical informatics team to evaluate effectiveness of clinical technologies
Focus on Epic Optimization Sprints and work with clinical leaders
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license required
BA/BS or higher strongly preferred
BLS certification required upon hire
Strong oral, written, and electronic communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of nursing experience preferred
Demonstrated interest in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT)
Prior experience in the EPIC environment preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of revenue cycle and patient access workflows
Strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of adult learning and teaching principles
Demonstrated ability to use analytical and data management tools
