Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Support your colleagues, deliver compassionate care, and make a significant impact on animal welfare in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at ASPCA’s veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality surgical procedures
Provide compassionate, quality preventive care to patients
Participate in administrative duties including scheduling and feedback
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
