Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will support and uplift Sailors and Marines during both joyful and difficult times, providing spiritual guidance and conducting religious services across various settings. You'll be part of a diverse community, representing multiple faiths, while enjoying competitive benefits and opportunities for advanced education.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
