U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion
**THIS JOB REQUIRES ENLISTING/JOINING THE U.S. ARMY AND YOU MUST BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 17-34 YEARS OLD TO APPLY**
Work one weekend a month, two weeks a year over the summer in the Army Reserves. The US Army and Army Reserves has multiple vacancies for an entry level Army Medical Specialist. You do not require prior training or experience in this career field in order to qualify for this position. If you qualify, you will be given a date to attend the 10 week Basic training followed by the 16 week Advanced Individual Training (AIT). You would receive full time Army pay and Benefits while attending training. 57 Nationally Recognized Certifications are available with this training.
As an Army Medical Specialist, you'll administer emergency medical care in the field in both combat and humanitarian situations. Your training will allow you to serve as a first responder and triage illnesses and injuries to save lives, much like a paramedic in the civilian world. You'll also train other Soldiers in lifesaver/first responder courses and provide care on base while not deployed.
