Job Description
Join the ASPCA's Community Medicine team as a Lead Veterinarian to support animal welfare in underserved communities. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional veterinary care while also engaging directly in medical practices. Your leadership will help make a significant impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in spay/neuter techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Guide team members in achieving professional goals
Perform high-quality spay/neuter surgical procedures and provide veterinary care
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
