Key Responsibilities
Perform EKGs correctly without errors
Enter patient data accurately into EKG machines and computer system
Prepare procedure/exam room and equipment for procedures
Explain test procedures to patients and monitor vital signs
Prepare patients for event monitors and receive telemetry data
Independently perform late potentials and T-wave alternans exercise procedures
Hook up holter monitor and scan data for physician's interpretation
Connect and download blood pressure monitoring equipment
Clean, test, and maintain equipment
Respond to requests in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Certification as a Cardiovascular Technician or willing to obtain within 3 months
Minimum of 1 year of Cardiovascular Tech experience in a Medical Center setting
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technician program
