• Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: October 28, 2025
• End Date: January 27, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1360 - $1460
• On-Site Position

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with CRRT, hypothermia protocol, and Meditech preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience caring for surgical and oncology patient populations
• Professional appearance: Royal blue scrubs required; clean and healthy nails (no artificial nails); neat hair (pulled back if shoulder length or longer); visible piercings (other than ears) and extreme hair styles/colors not permitted; tattoos should be covered when possible

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in a 16-bed SICU
• Manage patient assignments based on acuity and skill set (1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment: ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Assist with bedside procedures: central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis, cath placements, cardioversions, intubations
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Float to other critical care units as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, including attendance and dress code guidelines
