As a Speech Language Pathologist at ECHN, you will provide essential treatment to patients, enhancing their speech and language capabilities. This role entails evaluating patients, implementing appropriate therapies, and educating families for effective home care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Participates in departmental or community in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible for or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid driver's license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites
