Job Description

As the Director of Operations, you will lead the management of a diverse real estate portfolio, ensuring efficient property operations across New York City. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight of maintenance teams and vendor partnerships, directly impacting the wellbeing of clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the agency's real estate portfolio across NYC
  • Manage area managers and supervise light maintenance teams
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex maintenance issues
  • Ensure compliance with life safety standards and local regulations
  • Develop performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years working as a tradesperson in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience overseeing teams or operations
  • Verifiable experience with technical building systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hybrid role with field and office responsibilities
  • Familiarity with life safety system requirements and contract management
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and apply data-driven insights
  • Prior experience managing large real estate portfolios
