Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and make a direct impact on health outcomes. In this role, you will support a healthcare team in a vibrant clinic environment, ensuring excellent patient care while managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily call center environment in a patient clinic
  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls
  • Message management in EMR system
  • Providing administrative support to the practice
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Organizing and completing patient forms and letters
  • Updating patient information
  • Insurance verification
  • Obtaining prior authorizations for exams/testing
  • Collaborating with medical providers and staff
  • Problem solving patient issues/requests
  • Providing coverage for check-in/check-out patients

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of customer service, call center and/or healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with EPIC/electronic medical record systems
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
