Job Description
Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and make a direct impact on health outcomes. In this role, you will support a healthcare team in a vibrant clinic environment, ensuring excellent patient care while managing administrative tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Primarily call center environment in a patient clinic
Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls
Message management in EMR system
Providing administrative support to the practice
Scheduling appointments
Organizing and completing patient forms and letters
Updating patient information
Insurance verification
Obtaining prior authorizations for exams/testing
Collaborating with medical providers and staff
Problem solving patient issues/requests
Providing coverage for check-in/check-out patients
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
1+ years of customer service, call center and/or healthcare experience
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting
Experience with EPIC/electronic medical record systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
Working knowledge of general office procedures
Bilingual English/Spanish
