Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse will plan, implement, document, and coordinate individualized nursing care based on patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops and coordinates care plans for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Floats to any unit within their skillset as requested by the client.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of strong experience in ICU/CCU required.
- MUST HAVE NEURO ICU EXPERIENCE.
- Must be willing to float to Tele/Stepdown with a maximum of 4 telemetry patients.
- ASN required; BSN preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIHSS and CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours) required.
- Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
