Job Description
Join Cargill as an HVAC / Utilities Technician and contribute to a sustainable future in the food industry. You will perform maintenance and repairs while ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy machinery or computer programs
Use tools and retrieve parts to perform general repairs and maintain equipment
Conduct daily set-up of area
Troubleshooting
Perform lock out tag out and other safety procedures
Document daily logs, round sheets, and other reports
Work around or with machinery and power sources
Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintain a safe working environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Legal to work in the US
18 yrs old or older
Read, write, and speak English
Basic math which includes fractions and algebra
Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
Must be able to write and read in the prevalent language of technical literature utilized at the facility
Willingness and ability to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT
Must be able to attain the refrigeration/Caro and Ciro certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Cargill experience
Computer skills
Previous ammonia refrigeration or PSM experience
