The Social Work Program Supervisor at Kula Hospital leads and coordinates social work services to enhance patient well-being and quality of life. This role involves managing a team, implementing policies, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards while fostering community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Administers, develops, implements, and evaluates social work programs and policies
Hires, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates assigned staff
Participates in preparation of evaluative assessments and social work service plans
Performs case management, coordination, casework intervention, and monitoring of social work service plans
Works with the interdisciplinary team to promote and protect resident rights
Conducts research and documents according to departmental standards
Participates in departmental functions such as staff meetings and in-services
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in social work
Minimum one (1) year of post-masters degree social work experience
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
One (1) year of management experience
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Hawaii) or Licensed Social Worker (Hawaii) required at hire
Basic Life Support or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers required at hire
Healthcare experience working with medical diagnoses
Demonstrated ability in networking with community agencies
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year working with seniors and people with disabilities in a post-acute or long-term care setting
Masters degree in social work with a focus on post-acute and long-term care
